Because I started my video career as an editor I learned how everything comes together and the pieces along the way. This made me the director I am today.
Director / Creative Director
I have directed a feature film, a few short films, and many corporate / other video projects as on set director. I also have done the concepting / creative direction for videos as well. I know what I need to shoot to pull it together in the edit.
Editor
All video projects come together in the edit suite. At least they should. I started editing videos 15+ years ago and everything grew from this skill. How to put the pieces together in a compelling way.
Colorist
To get the most out of a video or film project, color is one of the most important steps. After sitting behind a senior colorist at Company 3 in LA for an evening I knew I had to take everything I shot or worked on to the next level. And I did.
Cinematographer / DP
I started shooting and camera operating after I had been editing for a while. Operating camera does not a cinematographer make. Using light (natural or fixtures) to enhance the look and feel of an image is what makes cinematographer.
